Ruber

About

A small company building email infrastructure.

Ruber is made by Sukses360 Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. It is early, it is small, and both of those are stated here rather than disguised — you are entitled to know the size of what you are trusting your mail to.

Why it exists

Email is the one account that everything else recovers through, and most people run it on an address they do not own. If the provider closes it, the address goes with them — and so does the way back into everything attached to it.

A domain fixes that, and the usual way to get mail on a domain is to accept a control panel from 2009 or a per-seat bill that makes you ration addresses. Neither is a law of nature. Ruber is the attempt to do the boring parts properly — records written and verified, filtering that works, standards rather than a walled garden — behind an interface built this decade.

The second half is the choice about privacy. Most providers make it for you: either everything is readable so the features work, or nothing is and you lose search. We would rather explain the trade-off and let you set it per mailbox. That is what Smart and Private are, and both of them run today.

How we intend to behave

  • Say what is shipped

Nothing on this site describes a feature that is not running, and where something is being built it says so. There is a whole page about where the product does not fit.

  • Price it plainly

Extra addresses come with every plan, and every limit is published so you can check it against what you actually do before paying.

  • Make leaving easy

The domain is yours and the MX record is yours to repoint. Leaving is a DNS change, and the mailbox stays reachable over IMAP the entire time so you can take your mail without asking us.

  • Use the boring components

Postfix, Dovecot and Rspamd, not in-house rewrites. Where a mature component exists we run it, and the work goes into the parts a customer touches.
