Mode is set per mailbox, not per plan
Every plan above includes both modes, because mode is set per mailbox rather than per plan and nothing here is priced for it. Smart is standards-first — everything email can do. Private encrypts the content for you rather than leaving it readable by the mail plane — a third-party client still reaches the mailbox over IMAP, it just cannot decrypt what comes back, so Private mail is read in the Ruber client. Search inside a Private mailbox and Private mail on the phone are still being built. One account can run both, and you can change a mailbox’s mode later.
