Is my mail end-to-end encrypted?
No, and we would rather say so plainly than let it be assumed. Mail is stored so that IMAP, search and filtering can work on it, which means we hold it in a form we could read. Anyone comparing this with a zero-access provider should know that before signing up, not after.
What we do not do is scan it to sell advertising. Subscriptions pay for this, so there is no advertising business for your mail to feed and no profile being assembled from it.
If that is not enough — and for some organisations it should not be — the your-cloud mail plane runs the whole mail plane inside your own cloud, where the storage is yours and message bodies never transit our infrastructure.
Did this not answer it?
Mail reaches a person rather than a queue. Include the domain and the exact error if there is one — it saves a round trip.
