Connect Cloudflare, or add records by hand
Automatic mode uses the Cloudflare API. You authorize once, we write the records, and verification usually passes within a minute or two. This is the shortest path if your DNS already lives at Cloudflare.
Manual mode gives you the same records as text. Add them at any provider, in any order — the checker does not care how they got there. This is the right choice if your DNS is managed by somebody else, or if changes there go through review.
Neither mode moves your DNS. Your nameservers stay exactly where they are; we only ever add records for mail, and nothing that would affect a website on the same domain.
Did this not answer it?
Mail reaches a person rather than a queue. Include the domain and the exact error if there is one — it saves a round trip.
